Oddny er eit norskspråkleg mildrockfenomen som foreinar det vestlandske underfundige med element frå folk, rock og honningsøt pop. I nordvestlandsbygda Bremanger, heilt i havgapet, finst eit lite kvitt hus som det i periodar bur fire unge, bustete musikarar i. Der drikk dei litervis med kaffi (og det som verre er) mens musikk vert skapt, innspelt og førebudd for framføring. Desse er Iver, Oliver, Bartek og Edvard.

Sammen under årets koseligaste bandnavn, jobber Oddny med mantraet at det finaste finst i det uperfekte. Dette har gitt resultat. I fjor ga dei ut sin debut-EP «Eg trur at eg må spy/ Våte sko», medan låten «Oktober,Bergen by» (som me sjølvsagt vart smigra av) blei A-lista på NRK P1 og rangert av Popklikk.no som ein av dei beste norske låtane i 2023. Etter, mellom anna, ein utseld konsert på Victoria, gler det oss mykje å ønskja Oddny tilbake til Bergen. Oddny is a four piece softrock phenomenon, combining the peculiarity of local western-Norwegian culture and temperament with elements from folk, rock and honeydipped pop. In the village of Bremanger, a little white house right by the ocean occasionally houses four young, shabby musicians. In this house they drink copious amounts of coffee (and worse), while music is created, recorded and prepared for the world to experience. These four are Iver, Oliver, Bartek and Edvard.

Under the moniker Oddny they work together with the idea that the most beautiful things can be found in the imperfections around us. This has proven to be a formula for success. Last year their debut EP saw the light of day while their bittersweet ode to Bergen “Oktober, Bergen by” was A-listed by the national radio station NRK P1. It was also ranged as one of the best Norwegian songs of the year by Popklikk.no. After selling out shows at Victoria, among others, it is a pleasure to welcome Oddny back to Bergen for Vill Vill Vest 2024.
